From junior year to senior year of high school, I worked as a state-tested nursing assistant (STNA) at a nursing home called Trinity Community at Fairborn. I had the opportunity to assist the elderly with their day-to-day activities and work side-by-side with the nurses. Through this experience, I learned the importance of clear, effective communication and what it means to truly empathize with someone. I also gained valuable clinical experience, which is important in furthering my dream of attending medical school.
