Hello!

My name is Jason Xiao, and I'm a third-year Medical Sciences student with a minor in Integrative Health at the University of Cincinnati. I grew up in Beavercreek, Ohio (sorry, there aren't any beavers there). I live and die by my electric keyboard, and I enjoy playing tennis with my friends. I don't like to think of myself as just a student, but a learner. As a kid, I was obsessed with learning a hodgepodge of things, from studying the anatomy of dinosaurs to mastering the art of origami. Although my interests have changed over time, my passion for learning has not. As someone who also wants to give back to their community, I believe empowering people with education is the way forward. I strive to realize my ambition of spreading my passion for learning with others, who may not have had the same educational opportunities. Through UC and the University Honors Program, I hope to join clubs and organizations that facilitate my ability to help my community. Additionally, I seek to enrich my college life with meaningful honors experiences along the way. As a result, I hope to find my identity and discover what it truly means to be a Global Citizen Scholar.
